An Ancient Tour at Rome Italy

RomeRome Italy is one of my favorite visited places. Of all many different great destinations in the world such as Paris, New York, London, and more, Rome standout for me because of its inimitability in a variety of aspects. With our world’s advancement, the sky-towering buildings and hi-tech devices are visible everywhere. But in this city, ancient and modernization go side by side, and I want to discover its prehistoric remains.

I travelled around the city and I made sure not to miss its fantastic sights. However, in my 3-day visit I know that I can’t cover all the things that I most longed to see within this perpetual city. Thus, I selected three attractions that still hold the city’s glorious spots. I enumerated them below:

Piazza Navona

In my first day I went to Piazza Navona. The square is vivid. Viewing its prehistoric structures of the three amazing Baroque fountains and the palaces, their beauty astounded me. The main fountain was created in 1650s by Bernini. It illustrates the 4 rivers such as Ganges, Nile, Rio de la Plata, and Danube. When I was fed up roaming around the oval-shaped square, I decided to take a cup of coffee in one of its high-end cafes. I ordered the Sant’ Eustachio Il Cafe, and it tastes really good to me. Most visitors here order their dessert like the tartufo and then walk on to the piazza, sit on one of the benches, and mesmerize the vivacious atmosphere in the air.

Santa Maria della Pace (Our Lady of Peace)

I love arts, thus, I visited the Arch of Peace at Santa Maria della Pace. This is where I spent my second day. The church has been existed since 15th century. It boasts the baroque style, which is the reminiscent of the historic Roman architecture. There were people visited in the church. The artistic plan of the church interior is really captivating with an octagonal shape and a narrow nave.

Baths of Carcalla

This is the second largest public baths of Romans built between 212-216 AD. I’ve known about this attraction from a friend who had been there for holiday. That’s why I made certain to visit this spot and I never regretted my decision. The place is very tidy. And since there are only a few people, the time I visited the place, I had a good time taking pictures all over the place. Do not neglect the mosaics at the Vatican museums, they are bonus attraction.

For me, my vacation in Rome Italy was extremely one of the most unforgettable. Thus, I recommend this place to holidaymakers who also want to get close encounter with some of the world’s ancient remains dates back 15th century. For more of my fun trip, click here.
